History Hit, the SVOD and content platform founded by historian Dan Snow and acquired by award-winning digital content agency and media network Little Dot Studios (an All3Media company), has launched on Prime Video Channels in the UK.

Already available on Amazon devices as an app via Amazon Fire TV, this launch will enable Prime Video Channels customers to access the full History Hit offering at the same monthly price of £6.99, which will be added on to their bill and accessed via the Prime Video channel listings. The new channel will match the video offering that History Hit already has across web and other platforms, including Roku, Apple TV, Samsung Smart TV and X-Box, to name a few, and will provide access to its full catalogue including popular shows such as Endurance Rediscovered and Digging up the Dark Ages with Dan Snow, as well as latest releases Uncovering the Band of Brothers Series and Waterloo Uncovered.

James Carson, managing director at History Hit, said: “ Prime Video Channels is one of the most widely available streaming services on a Smart TV. It’s a huge step for History Hit to be part of the Prime Video Channels experience, as it will bring our growing content library of hundreds of history documentaries to millions of users in the UK. It’s part of our 2022 product strategy focus to drive distribution, as well as our mission of making history more accessible in the digital age, and I’m hoping we’ll see further similar launches during the second half of this year.”
