History Hit, the podcast, SVOD and content platform founded by historian Dan Snow and acquired by award-winning digital content agency and media network Little Dot Studios, has appointed Jennifer Bennett as its first Commercial Director.

Reporting to James Carson, Managing Director of History Hit, Bennett will be responsible for driving commercial growth for History Hit through content partnerships. The role will also oversee the launch of new services for subscribers and expanding the brand’s events proposition, as History Hit looks to expand its portfolio after a successful 2022.

Bennett brings over 15 years of experience in the media, advertising and entertainment industry. She has delivered partnership solutions across tech, sport, gaming and music sectors and has worked within diverse, multi-cultural environments in several markets including London, Hong Kong and Singapore, holding senior positions at companies such as Branded, Kinetic WPP, Clear Channel and JCDecaux.

James Carson, Managing Director of History Hit said: “History Hit has seen great growth in commercial content partnerships since being part of Little Dot Studios, particularly with the success of Endurance 22 last year. There is a world of potential to expand on this through content collaborations with brands, tourism and heritage organisations, along with developing key commercial initiatives across events, travel and publishing. Jen brings a wealth of experience to drive this next phase of growth.”

The team are passionate about producing highly engaging and relevant factual content, and I feel extremely lucky to join at a period of exciting growth for the business."

Bennett joins History Hit after a successful 2022, which saw the platform work with Channel 5 on their first national TV broadcast series, ‘The World's Greatest Archaeological Discoveries’, launched on Prime Video Channels in the UK and ran the UK’s biggest history photography competition, ‘The Historic Photographer of the Year’. Additionally they introduced  three new shows to its podcast network including ‘American History Hit’ hosted by Don Wildman.
